Skyler Day is an American singer and actress. She was born on August 2, 1991 in Cumming, Georgia. She is best known for her recurring role as Maggie Ritter on the TeenNick series Gigantic. She also plays Mel Winters from Sonny With a Chance and fell for Grady.

Personal Life

Skyler has an older sister named Savannah, and a twin brother named Dalton. Both, Dalton and her sister, have competed in gymnastics and cheerleading. Her parents, David and Kelly, were once gymnasts and owned a gym in Norcross, Georgia.

Career

She participated in gymnastics and modeling at a very young age. Later, she was discovered by a talent agent. She and her family then moved to French Valley CA (to be close to LA but not that close), to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She auditioned for many months for television pilots and took jobs doing radio voice-overs and television commercials before finally landing a role in the independent film entitled The Adventures of Ociee Nash. Some other television appearances include Sothland, Drop Dead Diva, The Whole Truth, Days of our Lives, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Sonny with a Chance, CSI: Miami and Good Luck Charlie. She not only acts, but she is also a country singer. As she was growing up, she took classes for musical theater, acting, and songwriting.
